The Shopify integration: your catalogue beside your ads, read-only

Products, variants, prices, images and stock from your store, so the agent builds campaigns from real products and pauses ads for ones that sell out. It never reads orders or customers.

Just ask

Once the store is connected, ask.

Build a Meta campaign for the autumn range Which campaigns are still selling products that are out of stock? Which products are converting best on paid? Which products should the hamper campaign feature? What is in stock under £20? Feature only products with more than 50 units What can you see in the Shopify store? Disconnect the store

How it works

Connecting a Shopify store

Step 1

Enter the store domain

Give the store's myshopify.com domain and approve the app in Shopify. It asks for three read scopes — products, inventory and locations — and nothing else. The connection belongs to the client workspace you made it in.

Step 2

Sync the catalogue

Adease syncs products, variants, prices, images, tags and stock per location, and keeps them in step. The catalogue is available to the agent alongside the client's ad accounts.

Step 3

Use it to build and to check

The agent builds ads and campaigns from catalogue products — on Meta with the ads themselves, elsewhere as the campaign and ad group — and flags ads still running for products that have sold out. Everything it proposes goes through approvals. Nothing is written to the store.

Approvals

What the catalogue lets the agent propose

Launches built from real products, and ads stopped when the product runs out.

What Adease reads from Shopify

Products and their variants — titles, descriptions, tags, prices, compare-at prices and images — plus inventory levels per variant and the locations that inventory is held at. That is the whole list. Orders, customers, discounts, checkout and any protected customer data are not requested and cannot be read.

The permissions, explained

What the catalogue is for

Building. When the agent drafts a Meta campaign it can use real product names, prices and images for the ads; when it drafts a Pinterest or Google campaign for a range it knows which products are in it and what they cost. And checking: ads for products that have sold out are flagged for pausing with the spend since they ran out.

What it is not

The Shopify connection is not an attribution or revenue source. Adease reports the conversions each ad platform reports, not Shopify orders, and it does not reconcile the two. If that changes, it will be a separate scope request you approve in Shopify, not a silent expansion.

Where it fits

A good fit if you

  • sell through Shopify and run paid ads for the store
  • want launches built from the live catalogue
  • want ads paused when products sell out

Not a fit if you

  • want Shopify orders used for attribution — the connection does not read orders
  • want an agent that acts on its own without review — Adease will not do that
  • work on Linux, or need a dashboard a distributed team opens in a browser

Questions people ask

Does Adease read my orders or customers?

No. The three scopes requested are products, inventory and locations, all read-only. Orders, customers, discounts, checkout and protected customer data are not requested and cannot be accessed.

Does it write anything to my store?

No. There are no write scopes. Adease never creates, edits or deletes products, and never changes prices or inventory.

Does it work with several locations?

Yes. Inventory is read per location, so a product out of stock at one location but available at another is reported correctly.

Can it change my campaigns without asking?

No. There is no autonomous write path to a live ad account. Every change the agent proposes is queued in Approvals as a diff and applied only once a person approves it, inside the spend guardrails set for that workspace. Rejecting a proposal sends nothing to the platform.

Is my data used to train models?

No. Ad accounts, campaigns, knowledge cards and reports are never used to train machine learning models, and there is no setting that turns that on. Ad account credentials are never included in what is sent to the model.
